At 52nd minute Tal Ben Haim sent the ball that should have been running into Escobar’s arms, but being redirected by Honduras’s Maynor Figueroa who is substitute in second-half, changing the score to 2-1. Israel continued to push till 60 minutes, Omer Damari broke the Honduras’ door by headers, expanding their advantage to 3-1. The nightmare continued, in 74ht minute, Honduran Figueroa paid too much attention to Gil Vermouth, leaving Israel midfielder Hapoel Tel Aviv an open chance to shoot the score at 4-1.

At ending phase, Honduras Second half substitute Carlo Costly saved a bit face of the team by a header in 83rd minute. But the unfortunate loss was certain. Honduras’ pre-World Cup trip seemed nothing but deflating.

Earlier this Thursday, Honduras already lost a friendly against Turkey in Washington. Manager Suarez admitted at a media conference that his squad still needed a lot of work before going to Brazil. Honduras has another more difficult friendly game ahead of them on this Saturday against England at Miami.
